Thrilled and honored to welcome iconic J.McLaughlin as a new Anchor by Motom partner! This timeless brand has an incredible history beginning in 1977 with two brothers, Kevin and Jay McLaughlin. 47 years later, and J.McLaughlin is still thriving with women’s and men’s clothing and accessories that are effortless and enduring with a modern twist. So proud to have Mary Ellen Coyne Taryn Rayment Courtney Owens trust in helping them launch their own creator storefront platform to continue to meet the evolving needs of their customers.     Some Friday food for thought: 🍕 Although brands and retailers should be in the places and spaces where they have a chance to capture a spur-of-the-moment sale within social feeds or other 3rd party platforms, I consider this to be a supplemental, passive approach to social commerce. Where brands and retailers will truly win, is to proactively leverage the shopping inspiration driven by their influencer / creator partners and ambassadors by giving consumers what they want - an easy way to shop and purchase creator-curated selects directly from a brand or retailer's website. The issues of data privacy, trust/safety, order returns, customer support, etc are real. And, there's significant long-term value in owning vs renting...

    With U.S. social commerce expected to grow to $63 billion this year and influencer marketing spend increasing 16% to $8+ billion, expectations for creator investments are getting higher - as they should! Creator storefronts are having their moment. Feels like there are lots of options out there. But all storefront platforms are not created equal. Sure, I may be biased - but it’s for good reason.The brand storefront platform we lovingly built with years of testing by creators and DTC brands/retailers is truly superior and I’m psyched!Give Motom a follow to stay up-to- date on upcoming announcements of new clients and new feature releases. #AnchorbyMotom
