In an exclusive coverage, Korean news outletMoney Today (MT) reported that actorKim Soo Hyunwas in a relationship with an idol-turned-actress when he was serving his military duty from 2017 to 2019.
On April 25, 2025 (KST), MT reported that Kim Soo Hyun dated “Actress A” for about three years, starting around 2016. The exclusive news report noted that this “contradicts the earlier claim made by the late actress Kim Sae Ron, who said she dated Kim Soo Hyun from late 2015 until July 2021.”
According to MT, Kim Soo Hyun and Actress A became close as stars signed under the same management company at the time—KEYEAST. Kim Soo Hyun debuted in 2007 with M.Boat but moved to KEYEAST in 2010 and stayed signed with them until 2019 when he established GOLD MEDALIST. The two broke up around spring 2019, about three months before Kim completed his military service.

MT reported that another source claimed, “Kim Soo Hyun only dated Kim Sae Ron for one year, from 2019 to 2020.”
The exclusive, however, has since convinced Korean netizens that the late actress Kim Sae Ron and her friends were telling the truth about Kim Soo Hyun cheating on her multiple times.
