Made in Brazil: State of
Minas Gerais Trade Mission visited Florida seeking out opportunities in the
American giant market Turn experience into opportunity and learn how to break into the American market. TAMPA – What a great team work! The Brazilian Federation of Industries from Minas Gerais, FIEMG, the Brazilian Consulate Trade Bureau, the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida, the Brazil Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce and Florida International Business School partnered to assist the Brazilian trade mission from Minas Gerais to come to Florida on June 27th and 28th. Twenty five companies participated in the mission. Fostering new business relationships was the focus of the two day visit in Miami. Building on the experience of the sponsors listed above the mission participants had the opportunity to develop new business and relationships, as well as gain practical insights on doing business in the United States. Items on the agenda included tour at the free trade zone, Apex, one-on-one meetings with potential business partners, meetings with key government and industry stakeholders, VIP welcome reception sponsored by Becker and Poliakoff, and a lunch next day sponsored by BACCF. “The trade mission was very well organized and the experience of traveling to the U.S. combined with the business contacts made it a very worthwhile expenditure of time and money. Being a part of a high profile trade mission like this opened doors that one could never open without a great deal of work and time investment in advance.” – said one of the Brazilian participants. "Trade Missions are a great way to break into international markets," says Jefferson Michaelis, BTCC President. "Especially in the U.S., where the key to success is developing the right professional relationships, such as this one, allowing delegates the ability to leverage key face to face contacts”
